Computer Requirements
The following are the minimum computer requirements necessary for the best webcast experience:
If you already have a computer the minimum computer requirements are:
- Windows environment -98, Millennium, 2000, or XP
- Screen resolution of 800 X 600
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0* web browser
- Windows Media Video Player 6.4 or above
- 56K dialup or broadband connection [Regarding Internet connection—broadband or cable modem is preferred.]
- Active scripts must be enabled within browser
- *Run ActiveX controls and plugins must be enabled within browser
If you are buying a new computer we recommend the following minimum configuration
- Pentium 4 processor, 2GHz or better
- 256 MB Ram or greater
- 64 MB Video graphics card for desktop computer or 8 MB video graphics for laptop
- Sound blaster sound card / Speakers for desktop, use integrated sound/speakers for laptop
- 40 GB hard drive
- USB ports (version 2.0 preferred) (Desktop should have 4 ports, laptop should have 2 ports minimum)
- Standard keyboard / mouse
- 10/100 Ethernet card (for DSL, Cable modem, or LAN connection)
- 56 K modem (for dialup connection)
- MS Office XP (includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- 15" XGA color display (1024 x 768) for desktop, laptop should have minimum of 13.1" color TFT display
- CD-RW(consider DVD/CD-RW combo for laptop)
Regarding Internet connection—broadband or cable modem is preferred. You can still watch and participate in a webcast with a dial up modem, however the video presentation may not be adequate at times due to your Internet connection speed.
