Dr. Wietholter grew up in Bluffton, a small town in Northwest Ohio. Following his graduation from Bluffton High School, he pursued a degree in pharmacy at the University of Pittsburgh. Upon the conclusion of his six years of schooling and completion of his Pharm.D. degree, he moved to Greenville, NC to complete his PGY-1 residency at Pitt County Memorial Hospital. While he enjoyed his time in North Carolina, the opportunity to move closer to family and to once again experience all four seasons drove him to West Virginia. This goal was accomplished as he accepted his current position as Clinical Assistant Professor at West Virginia University and Internal Medicine Clinical Pharmacist at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, WV.
He married his beautiful better half, Carrie in July of 2005 and they welcomed their son Caleb James into the world on April 15th, 2008 and are expecting their second child in August of 2010. They are enjoying their time in Huntington and with West Virginia University and they will continue to strive to make a positive impact on the community as well as the future of pharmacy practice through direct interactions with pharmacy students on rotations and in the classroom.
