S Muazzam Nasrullah

Dr. Nasrullah joined the ICRC as an Associate Faculty in October 2008.  He completed his MBBS (MD) degree at the Allama Iqbal Medical College, Lahore Pakistan and a Masters in Public Health (Safety Promotion) at the Karolinska Institute, Stockholm, Sweden and remainedS Muazzam Nasrullah there 3 years to conduct research.  Dr. Nasrullah worked in London, UK for a year as a public health administrator and researcher. After this, he was a Research Fellow managing all injury-related research for the Department Emergency Medicine at Aga Khan University in Pakistan. Currently, Dr. Nasrullah is an Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer at CDC’s  National Institute of Occupational Health & Safety.  He is also an adjunct Assistant Professor within the WVU Department of Community Medicine.

His research interests include injury epidemiology (unintentional and intentional); designing preventive strategies for injury prevention and increasing safety promotion; occupational injuries; health hazard evaluation at work sites; work-related respiratory diseases.
