Because Pilates draws on resistance from each individual's body, it is recommended for people of all ages and all physical abilities. Beginners can start off slowly and gradually increase the number of reps they perform. Pilates has gained in popularity mostly because a single Pilates class stretches and tones almost every muscle in the body and increases mind-body harmony.
