Ergonomics for Your Hands

  • Give Your Hands a Break

    • The Wellness Program has a list of 6 exercises that will refresh your hands
    • Try the Following Exercises
  • Wrist Flexion

    • Grasp palm and fingers; gently bend back wrist
    • Hold for 5 seconds
  • The Preacher Stretch

    • Press hands together
    • Start with hands at chest height
    • Slowly lower hands until you feel stretch in wrists
    • Hold for 5 seconds
  • High Five

    • Spread fingers wide
    • Hold for 5 seconds
  • The Thumb Stretch

    • Gently pull thumb back and down until you feel stretch
    • Hold for 5 seconds
  • Fist Curl

    • Curl Fingers into a fist starting with the little finger
    • Then curl wrist
    • Hold for 5 seconds
  • Hand Massage

    • Massage inside and outside of hand with thumb and fingers
    • Shake out
