Ingredients:

1 lb

Cooked and drained chick peas
2 Tbs. Soybean oil
3/4 lb Finely chopped Onion
1/4 lb Finely chopped Tomatoes
3 1/2 tsp Curry Powder
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Chopped Cilantro
1/3 tsp Turmeric Powder
1/2 tsp  Chili Powder

Recipe Directions:

1.  Heat oil in a pan and add onion once oil is hot.

2.  Sauté onions until golden brown and add the tomatoes and sauté for 5 min.

3.  Then add curry powder, turmeric powder and chili powder to this mixture and sauté for 5 min.

4.  Add the chic peas, salt and enough water to make a curry and simmer for 5 min.

5.  Garnish with cilantro leaves and serve hot with 1/2 a piece Pita Bread.
