Apple-Cranberry Stir Fry Sauce

Amount:

Ingredients:

1 pound Fresh Cranberries
2 cups Apple Juice
Enough water to cover cranberries
1 cup Honey
1 Ancho Chili Pepper (whole)
Cornstarch and cold water to thicken

Recipe Directions:

  1. In a heavy-bottom saucepan add the cranberries, apple juice and water.

  2. Bring to a rolling boil and reduce to a simmer for 1 hour.

  3. Thicken the mixture slightly with cornstarch.

  4. Using a fine mesh strainer, strain the sauce and remove the seeds and skin from the cranberries.

  5. Place mixture back on the stove, heat and add the honey.
