How to Copy and Paste
From Netscape Navigator's Document Source
to Windows Write

These instructions describe the process of copying a portion of a document you are viewing with Netscape Navigator's View ==> Document Source feature into Windows Write using Windows 3.11. (In Navigator 4.x, this feature has a slight wording change: View ==> Page Source.) This is useful if you want to print or save any of the HTML source code of an Internet document.

The Document Source Feature

Netscape's Document Source feature allows you to view the HTML source code of the document rendered in the browser window. To see this source code, do the following:
  1. Click on View on the left of the upper white bar on the Netscape window
  2. Click on Document Source

Windows Write

When you have reached the last line you want to copy, release the left mouse button. If you wish to highlight text beyond the immediate screen, you must deal with this in a separate step.
  2. Press the Control key and hold it down. Tap the C key. This will copy the highlighted text.
  3. Press on the Alt key and hold it down. Tap the Tab key until the words Program Manager appear in the center of the screen. Release both keys.
  4. Click on the Accessories program group icon. Click on the word Restore to open up this program group. Note: this program group may already be open.
  5. Double click on the Write icon to open the program.
  6. Click on Edit at the upper left side of the screen. Click on Paste. The text copied from Netscape will be copied onto the screen.
