AWIS Networking Lunches

Come have lunch and network with women in STEM fields. All students and faculty are welcome! Lunches are generally on a Monday or Tuesday and rotate between Hatfields in the Mountainlair and the Snack Room in the Evansdale Library.

Expanding Your Horizons

EYH is our annual outreach event for middle school girls. The event is usually held on a Saturday in April at a different location in West Virginia each year. Check out our EYH page for more details.

Guest Speakers

We collaborate with a variety of organizations, academic departments, and the WVU ADVANCE center to provide AWIS activities with visiting women in science. If you would like to co-sponsor an event with AWIS, please contact Amy Keesee, amy.keesee@mail.wvu.edu.

Women In STEM Tea with Dr. Stephanie Chasteen
Dr. Stephanie Chasteen, http://sciencegeekgirl.com/, a PhD physicist and science education and communication consultant, will be visiting campus on Friday, March 2nd. The Association for Women in Science is hosting a Women in STEM Tea at 10-11am in White Hall Room 105. All women in STEM fields are invited.
All are invited to attend her Physics Department colloquium at 3:30pm in White Hall G09 entitled "Speaking of Physics: The Art of Science Communication."
