Objective Examples

Following this conference (series, webcourse, lecture, etc), participants should be able to:

  • Review and discuss both current practice and literature, as well as research both locally, nationally, and internationally that may impact detection and treatment of cancer locally
  • Demonstrate understanding of major topics in Emergency Medicine as outlined by the current version of the American Board of Emergency Medicine Model of the Clinical Practice of Emergency Medicine.
  • Discuss recent developments in the medical literature relevant to the core content of Emergency Medicine.
  • Describe the relevant physiology, pathophysiology, and initial treatment plans for common presentations in Emergency Medicine.
  • Apply relevant clinical information present in the core content of Emergency Medicine to the care of patients in the Emergency Department.
  • Obtain solutions to patient problems that could occur
  • Discuss patient diagnoses and treatment plans and directly impact patient care and better outcomes
  • Make improved care decision based on case discussion and literature review
  • Identify unique clinical and/or pathologic findings, complexities and appropriate therapeutic modalities for each case
  • identify clinically relevant issues from recent journal articles and determine how the current medical practice may need to change based on newer information
