Inter-Professional Faculty Committee

Inter-professional Faculty Committee (IFC) members are involved with geriatrics education and advocacy and meet regularly to advance the objectives of the WVGEC which includes:

• Building geriatric education capitol to strengthen the infrastructure for geriatrics education in West Virginia
• Building a stable and competent workforce for the provision of geriatric healthcare and increase the geriatrics competence of health professions faculty and students
• Promoting evidence-based interventions to improve the care of older adults

Faculty from WVU School of Medicine at Morgantown, Charleston and the Eastern Division, West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, Marshall University School of Medicine, West Virginia Rural Health Education Partnerships and West Virginia Area Health Education Centers and other parties involved with geriatrics will participate in the efforts of the WVGEC.
