The Dean Thomas W. Mou Lectureship was established in 1985 by Dr. Mou's friends and colleagues, honoring him on his retirement as the Dean of the of West Virginia University School of Medicine Charleston Division. Dr. Mou was the second Dean of the School of Medicine Charleston Division, serving from 1976 until 1985. Under his leadership the Charleston Division experienced remarkable growth. Upon his retirement, a lectureship was established in his name to honor his contributions to Charleston area clinicians.
