MORNING REPORT TEACHING ROUNDS
9:00 -10:00 AM (M,W,F)
Memorial – Room 3071, General – Call Room Library
8:00 – 9:00 AM (T&TH)
Room 2000

  • Monday, Wednesday, and Friday all teams attending including float-Junior Residents (JR), Students present, 9:00 - 10:00.
  • Tuesday and Thursdays all are expected to be there with the exception of the night-float team at the General Division. The only excuses for abscences are clinic and emergencies; arrive on time
  • Any presentation by a student must be discussed with JR or SR. DO NOT READ the presentation.
  • Bring x-rays and ECG - get up early to do this - do not skip conference.
  • No food please; coffee yes!
  • Present cases that are confusing or interesting to you
  • Presentations should be succinct with pertinent negatives and positive but not impertinent negatives or positives.

AFTERNOON TEACHING ROUNDS
1:00 – 2:00 PM (T, TH)
Memorial – Room 3071, General – Call Room Library

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays (only at Memorial) a resident will present a case that remains in the hospital. The entire team should attend. Switch off days if clinic responsibilities conflict. The SR should select the case. Students cannot present cases.
  • The presentation by a SR or JR should be practiced.
  • Arrive on time.
  • Bring x-rays and ECG
  • The presenter is expected to thoroughly know the case and have read about the disease processes.

NEUROLOGY TEACHING ROUNDS
7:00 AM Wednesday
General-Call Room Library

  • Wednesday morning at 7:00 am both general division medicine teams must attend neurology teaching rounds by Dr. Kuruvilla John. These cases should be inpatient.
  • The presentation is to be by the senior resident or junior resident.
  • Bring all pertinent films if not on WEB 1000.
  • Contact Dr. John if you cannot be present for neurology rounds.
