The Boom Days of Coal Volume II: Folk Medicine of the Upper Kanawha Valley

The Boom Days of Coal Volume II focuses on the many herbal and folk remedies traditionally used in Cabin Creek and the surrounding Upper Kanawha Valley. Interviews for this portion of the project were completed by Rachel Fong, who was a Shepherd Service-Learning Intern from Middlebury College for the summer of 2005.

Many thanks to the health care providers at Cabin Creek Health Center, who provided names of potential interviewees within the Upper Kanawha Valley.
