WVU medical residents present research at national competition

Recently, Eric Interval, M.D. and Ben Addicks,  M.D. competed with residents from Case Western University, the Cleveland Clinic and UPMC for the Robert and George Schein Research Awards sponsored annually by the Otolaryngology Department at UPMC.

Under mentorship from Scott Weed, Ph.D., Interval's research was entitled “In Vivo Imaging for monitoring Effect of the CK2 Gene on Lymph node metastasis of a mouse Model oral SCC.” Addicks's research project was entitled “CT scan in Pediatric Rhinosinusitis: How often is it being used?” with mentorship from Hassan Ramadan, M.D., Brian Kellermeyer, M.D., and Chadi Makary, M.D.

Three awards were given, with Interval winning third place. Congratulations Drs. Interval (pictured) and Addicks.
