Message from Interim Dean
Dr. James E. Brick

BrickThe WVU School of Medicine is committed to excellence. We demand it from our students, faculty and staff. We exhibit it in our actions.

Our School draws its strength from West Virginia, and in return, provides the state with a steady supply of well-trained, motivated physicians, scientists and other health professionals. Each of our divisions; in Morgantown, Charleston, and the Eastern Panhandle, enable our faculty and students to work and learn in scores of small communities across the state.

WVU School of Medicine faculty provide health care to hundreds of thousands of patients each year, in WVU Hospitals, Charleston Area Medical Center, and in our faculty medical practices operated by University Health Associates and WVU Physicians of Charleston. Through their ongoing support of our academic mission, we are able to provide our patients with exceptional care and our students with unparalleled learning opportunities.

To all of you who contribute to the success of our School, thank you.
