Each year many children from West Virginia and surrounding states are diagnosed with cancer or bleeding disorders that can rob them of a normal childhood. Their time and energy is focused on their illness; being in the hospital or having to stay home to rest can be isolating and cause a child to feel lonely. More than anything, they just want to be kids and be able to experience what other healthy kids experience. At Camp Winaca and Hemovon, these kids can cut loose and play together in a safe supportive environment.

Although they require 24 hour medical supervision, campers are not charged. The costs are paid by our individual and corporate sponsors.

Thanks to the support of people like you, these brave kids can just be kids!
