Johanna Biola MD

Faculty Physician

Johanna Biola Bio Born in Roanoke, VA.

Graduated from Elkins High School Elkins, WV 1997. Completed undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology Summa cum Laude WVU 2001.

Attended WVU School of Medicine graduating in 2005 and WVU Rural Family Medicine Residency Harpers Ferry, WV in 2008. Still an avid runner, competed in Cross Country and Track while a Mountaineer.

Husband Scott Biola teaches Civics and coaches Cross Country and Track at Jefferson High School.

Just welcomed a daughter to the family. When not busy working enjoys supporting husband's athletes at meets and spending time with family and her favorite canine companion Layla, a Jack Russell mix.

Enjoys Family Medicine because of the opportunity it gives to treat patients of all ages with a variety of problems and to treat and prevent chronic disease by motivating patients to make healthier lifestyle choices.
