Lakshmi was born in Coastal South India and studied in one of the leading Medical College.

She finished her Internship in New Delhi and practiced Ob & Gyn for few years. She put her career on hold to take care of her family, traveling from India to Sydney, Australia and to U.S.A. After a hiatus of 15 years from Medicine, due to her deep interest in Primary Care Medicine she joined Harpers Ferry Rural Family Medicine program. She lives in Hagerstown, Maryland with her husband and two wonderful children, Snigdha aged 15 and Sid aged 10. She intends to pursue her interest in Women's Health and continue to work in the area after finishing her Residency.
