Eastern Division Mission and Goals The Eastern Division of the West Virginia University Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center continues to honor the land grant mission of service to the state of West Virginia

1. Will provide the opportunity for West Virginia residents to receive broad based health sciences education in the nine-county region of the Eastern Panhandle.
   
   
2. Will work to improve the quality of and access to health care for residents of the Eastern Panhandle through the education of health professionals, scientific research, and the provision of direct and supportive health care.
