Dr. Mitch Jacques earned his medical degree from Michigan State University and has held a variety of positions in healthcare service, including former positions as Chair of the WVU HSC Department of Family Medicine in both Charleston and Morgantown. He is also a graduate of North Carolina State University where he received his Ph.D. in chemical engineering.
In addition to his duties as Dean of the Eastern Division, Dr. Jacques sees patients a couple of days a week at Harpers Ferry Family Medicine and precepts residents. He thoroughly enjoys the variety and challenges of family medicine – seeing patient of all ages with various conditions.
Dr. Jacques and his wife, Shirley, enjoy life in the Eastern Panhandle, along with their dog, Berkeley. Dr. Jacques is a father of four children and grandfather to seven.
