Assistant Professor, Family Medicine
Dr. Adrienne Zavala was raised locally in Charles Town, WV, where her parents Ben and Libby Newlon still reside. She graduated with her BS in Biology from Shepherd College, and attended West Virginia University School of Medicine. She returned to the Eastern Panhandle as a third year medical student, where she still calls home. She completed her residency in Family Medicine at the WVU Rural Family Medicine Residency at Harpers Ferry, and is excited to begin her practice here with the colleagues and patients of whom she has grown so fond.
Dr. Zavala lives here in Harpers Ferry with her husband Hector, a violinist and orchestra teacher in the Loudoun County Schools, and their son Diego, who attends Montessori School in Charles Town. They are expecting their second child in the Spring of 2012.
Dr. Zavala's special interests within medicine are international medicine and pediatrics.
