Financial aid administered
through WVU's Financial Aid Office will be applied to charges for tuition
and housing (if applicable). Any funds remaining after all charges
are paid will be mailed beginning the first week of classes to the student's
local address on file with Admissions and Records. To make sure your
local address is current, check the STAR
system or call Admissions & Records at (304) 293-2124. Most
financial aid will be available at that time, however, some types of assistance
coming from sources outside WVU (some state assistance and private scholarships)
may be late in arriving. It is the student's responsibility to monitor
receipt of this assistance with the Office of Student Accounts (billing
and payment office). They may be reached at (304) 293-4006.
If you are required to make
personal payment on your account, WVU offers three different payment options
for university charges:
1. 60/40 Plan
- For fall and spring semesters, tuition and fees may be paid in two installments.
60% (after applying financial aid) is due by the payment date shown on
your invoice and the remaining 40% is due by the end of the sixth week
of classes. For more information, contact the Office of Student Accounts
at (304) 293-4006.
2. Tuition Pay Plan - A monthly payment plan for students or parents wishing
to pay tuition/fees and room/board in monthly installments. There
are no interest charges - only an enrollment fee.
