NOTE: THE FOLLOWING TYPES OF AID ARE AWARDED BY APPROPRIATE OFFICIALS IN THE MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM. NO SEPARATE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION IS REQUIRED. HOWEVER STUDENTS MUST FILE THE FAFSA/RENEWAL FAFSA BY MARCH 1. SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES FREDERICK AND DORIS HOLTER SCHOLARSHIP Scholarship awarded to undergraduate students entering their senior year who show academic excellence and financial need. Money is awarded at convocation ceremony in May. Must file the FAFSA/Renewal FAFSA by March 1. DR. BETHOLENE LOVE MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY SCHOLARSHIP Scholarship awarded to students in the medical technology program at WVU. Must file the FAFSA/Renewal FAFSA by March 1. PEGGY JEAN WITT WILLIAMS MEMORIAL FUND Scholarship awarded to undergraduate
students with exceptional academics. Priority given to third year
students. First consideration of funds is for the WVU Scholars Program.
Must file the FAFSA/Renewal FAFSA by March 1.
LOAN OPPORTUNITY
WVU HOSPITALS SCHOLARSHIP/LOAN PROGRAM- MED. TECH This scholarship/loan program awards $1000 per semester up to a maximum of $4000. The scholarship/loan is forgiven through full-time (40 hrs/wk) continuous employment as a medical technologist. For each $1000 award the student receives, he/she is obligated through contract to the WVU Hospitals for six months. Application deadline is April 1 for the fall semester and October 20 for the spring semester. Selection and award amounts are determined by officials governing the Medical
Technology program at WVU.
