| Verification
means that the Financial Aid Office must determine the accuracy of the
data you reported on your FAFSA/Renewal FAFSA by requesting documentation
that will support the information you listed on the FAFSA/Renewal FAFSA.
If your FAFSA/Renewal FAFSA
is selected for verification, you will be notified in writing of what documents
we need from you. If you are asked to submit additional information,
you must provide it within 30 days of the date requested or eligibility
for financial aid may be adversely affected.
Once the documents are received
by the University, you should receive award notification or revised award
notification within 3 weeks. Until the documents are received, your
financial aid file is considered incomplete and processing will cease.
If you are selected for verification after you have been awarded, your
awards are tentative, pending the completion and outcome of the verification.
