Rural Experience

All Histotechnology students are required to complete a rural enrichment activity before the end of the senior year. Students learn to recognize and appreciate the special health care needs of the medically underserved populations of rural West Virginia as well as the challenges in providing for those needs. They learn to recognize and appreciate the uniqueness of the rural community by participating in community activities.
