AHRQ/HCUP Injury Data

In collaboration with the Children’s Safety Network’s Economics and Data Analysis Resource Center (CSN EDARC) and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), the West Virginia University Injury Control Research Center( WVU ICRC) is pleased to provide the following state-specific injury data tables. These tables are available to help program planners and researchers assess the costs and incidence of injuries and violence and the potential return on investment from prevention. Injury incidence is based upon 2003 data obtained from the State Inpatient Databases (SID), Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project (HCUP), Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). CSN EDARC is located at the Pacific Institute for Research and Evaluation (PIRE).
