Continuing Education

The Health Sciences Center Office of Continuing Education (CE) provides continuing education credit for physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers. Many programs offered by the Office of CE provide multidisciplinary opportunities for participants to earn continuing education credits.

The Office of Interprofessional Education will showcase and highlight activities relating to fostering collaboration between all schools.

The attendee will be able to:

1.)  Describe the framework for Interprofessional Education at the WVU HSC;

2.)  Understand how that framework is used to provide enhanced professional health care to an identified group of underserved patients, namely the homeless; and

3.)  Understand how the MUSHROOM project supports service learning in all healthcare settings and can be used to model other projects to encourage Interprofessional Collaborative Practice.

An interstate collaboration as a guided opportunity for faculty to plan Inter Professional Education (IPE) activities. The faculty workshop will provide an opportunity for faculty in Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia to understand the national initiative on IPE and work with experts in planning IPE activities for use with students.
