IOEH physicians staff clinics in the Physicians Office Center in Morgantown, West Virginia. Professional care of a wide variety of occupational injuries and diseases, combined with skill and experience in handling the associated paperwork and communication, make the Institute of Occupational and Environmental Health an outstanding center for the treatment of job and environment-related medical problems. Facilities:
In addition to the full resources of WVU Healthcare, the Occupational Medicine clinic has two full-time nurses and a team of experienced support staff to provide the following dedicated services:
- Audiograms performed in a hearing booth by CAOHC-certified technicians
- Vision testing with Titmus screener
- Spirometry by NIOSH-certified technicians
- Breath Alcohol Testing by trained technicians
- EKG
IOEH residents and physicians also have the opportunity to perform research projects with faculty at the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH).
NIOSH, a federal agency, is an 110,000 square foot, four-story building which includes 200,000 square feet of laboratory and office space for occupational medicine research, located within walking distance of the Health Sciences Center.
