Occupational Medicine Rounds:

Each week, residents in occupational medicine, faculty, interested staff and invited guests attend occupational medicine rounds held at the IOEH. The purpose of the meeting is to address scientific issues of concern to the practice of occupational medicine and to supplement the didactic component of the residency practicum. Meetings also offer an opportunity for preceptors at participating sites, faculty at the Hospital and residents to become acquainted and to facilitate scientific learning and interchange.

All residents are required to attend occupational medicine rounds except when away on outside rotations. Rounds are held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. In addition, the residents meet with the attending staff on Tuesday from noon to 1:00 p.m. These meetings are designed for more informal tutorials on a variety of topics, case presentations, review of recent journal articles, a research brown-bag lunch, and board review sessions.
