What's New in SOLE
Welcome SOLE 8!
SOLE 8 brings faculty, staff and students robust content delivery options, improved navigational features and an updated look and feel.
- SOLE 8 provides a new look and feel for users.
- Course navigation has been enhanced for users by providing a “tree” navigation structure for course content, allowing the use of breadcrumbs to navigate through a course, and the ability to move through content using previous and next buttons. Users have a resume link which will take them back to the last page they viewed in Course Content.
- The Course Content area has changed to allow for various types of content to be viewed.
- Course navigation has been enhanced for users by providing a hierarchical navigation structure for Course Content. This provides SOLE users with multiple ways of navigating through Course Content: using a "Tree" view in the course's left navigation, using "Previous" and "Next" buttons to move from item to item, and using "Breadcrumbs" to see where they are located and track backwards.
- Users have a "Resume" link which takes them back to the last page they viewed in Course Content. Users can subscribe to SOLEcasts RSS feeds.
- There is a new Content Calendar that dynamically generates a view of Course Content that has been given an Effective Date.
- A new MyNotes tool is available that links your note directly to the page on which it was created. You can quickly take notes on the SOLE homepage, any Course or Site homepage, and on any piece of content.
- Users can post attachments in Forums. This new feature takes the place of the old Shared Storage tool.
- The new Gradebook has replaced the old Gradebook.
