How to use a BellSouth/ECCI Calling Card to Establish a Dialup Connection Outside of WVNET's local dialing area

WVU Telecommunications is in the process of changing our long distance service provider from AT&T to Quest Communications. This change will require dialing a new number when accessing WVU Health Sciences Center electronic resources through use of a calling card.

Updating Your Calling Card Number if you use Windows 98:

1. Double click on My Computer
2. Double click on Dial-Up Networking.
3. Right-click on the connection called Out-of-Area Calling Card.
4. Choose Properties.
5. Make sure the area code is 800
6. Delete all characters from the Telephone number box and type in 18003579006,,,,00000000000000,,,,13042927132 (replacing the 14 zeroes with your calling card number).
7. Press the OK button.
   

Updating Your Calling Card Number if you use Windows XP:

1. Click on the Start button.
2. Choose Connect to…
3. Choose Show all connections.
4. Right-click on AT&T Calling Card/WVNet Out of Area Calling Card.
5. Choose Properties.
6. Delete all characters from the Telephone number box and type in 18003579006,,,,00000000000000,,,,13042927132 (replacing the 14 zeroes with your calling card number).
7. Press the OK button.
