How to use a BellSouth/ECCI Calling Card to Establish a Dialup Connection Outside of WVNET's local dialing area

WVU Telecommunications is in the process of changing our long distance service provider from AT&T to Quest Communications. This change will require dialing a new number when accessing WVU Health Sciences Center electronic resources through use of a calling card.
Updating Your Calling Card Number if you use Windows 98:
- Double click on My Computer
- Double click on Dial-Up Networking.
- Right-click on the connection called Out-of-Area Calling Card.
- Choose Properties.
- Make sure the area code is 800
- Delete all characters from the Telephone number box and type in 18003579006,,,,00000000000000,,,,13042927132 (replacing the 14 zeroes with your calling card number).
- Press the OK button.
Updating Your Calling Card Number if you use Windows XP:
- Click on the Start button.
- Choose Connect to
- Choose Show all connections.
- Right-click on AT&T Calling Card/WVNet Out of Area Calling Card.
- Choose Properties.
- Delete all characters from the Telephone number box and type in 18003579006,,,,00000000000000,,,,13042927132 (replacing the 14 zeroes with your calling card number).
- Press the OK button.
