Citing My Sources
When to cite your source:
- If you use a direct quote
- If you paraphrase (which means the words were changed a bit)
- If you use information that may not be well-known or seems unusual
- If you use direct statistical sources
All sources that must be cited include:
- books
- journal articles
- web pages
- e-mail messages
- newsgroup postings
- any other sources
How to cite:
- Use the appropriate style manual as determined by your professor or college
- Follow the instructions in the examples in the style manuals
