Rural Rotation Requests
Rural Health Education Rotation Students can now receive journal articles (document delivery) from the West Virginia University Health Sciences Library while on field assignment. You may copy and paste your citation from PubMed into the appropriate fields on the ILLiad request form. All requests must be placed through ILLiad, WVU's web based Interlibrary Loan System. Rural Health Education Rotation Students must choose Rural Rotation under "Status" on the user registration form in order to receive their documents free of charge. Please remember to edit/change back your status in ILLiad upon completion of your field assignment.
Please do not choose the status "Rural Rotation" unless you are currently out on Clinical Rotation. Rural Rotation students are those students in the Schools of Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, and Pharmacy who are out on Clinical Rotations at various West Virginia Rural Health Education Partnerships sites throughout the state.
Coordinators from the Schools provide the Health Sciences Library with the names of those students currently out on rotation. A student's name must appear on these lists before the HSL sends articles, since we provide the service free of charge.
Requests for copies of articles from journal titles held by our library will be filled within 1-3 working days. If you request an article from a journal we do not own, we can refer your request to another academic lending library. Please be aware requests may take up to one week. When your request has been filled, we will send you an e-mail informing you how to access the article. If you have any questions, please call us at (304) 293-1930 or (304) 293-1931, Monday-Friday, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm.
