Patient and Family Support

At Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center, we believe that cancer care goes beyond medical diagnosis and treatment.
We offer an array of support services for patients and their families.

Pain/Palliative Care Team is available to assist you and your doctor in the management of pain or other side effects related to your disease or treatment that are affecting your quality of life. Please ask a member of your healthcare team for a referral.

The Psycho-Oncology Program has an on-site psychiatrist, who has special training in working with oncology patients and helping them cope with their disease. Some common concerns include difficulty with concentrating, anxiety, depression, anger or dealing with the physical changes associated with your treatment. Please ask a member of your healthcare team for a referral.

Rehabilitation Services offers an occupational therapist that specializes in the care of the cancer patient. The therapist is certified in the treatment of lymphadema, which is a condition that some people develop as a result of cancer and its associated treatment. Please ask a member of your healthcare team for a referral.

Support and Education Programs are offered through the Social Services office. Many of these groups are facilitated by our social workers. These include:
