Dr. Branstetter is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Child Psychology in the Department of Psychology at West Virginia University. Dr. Branstetter’s research interests are in the onset and development of substance use problems in adolescence, including the influence of parents and peers. Additionally, Dr. Branstetter has interests in research methodology and statistical analyses; particularly latent growth models, structural regression and other latent modeling techniques. He teaches Child Abnormal Psychology, Child Behavior Therapy, and conducts a graduate seminar in Structural Equation Modeling. Dr. Branstetter’s research laboratory in the Department of Psychology, the Adolescent Research Laboratory, is currently conducting several projects relating to impulsivity, decision making and adolescent substance use. Dr. Branstetter is currently working with Dr. Kimberly Horn and Dr. Geri Dino on several projects related to the Not On Tobacco program.
