My research/outreach interests are in the areas of tobacco education and cessation, healthy school programs, barriers to oral health, geriatrics, and adverse pregnancy outcomes linked to poor oral health. Recent grants have included statewide tobacco education projects, geriatric interdisciplinary education, community outreach programs, and assessing the effects of comprehensive pre-natal care including in-office dental care in combination with a regular oral healthcare regimen utilizing the Sonicare toothbrush. I welcome and encourage collaboration on research and outreach projects.
