Dr. Priscah Mujuru is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Community Medicine. She has a Doctor of Public Health from the University of Pittsburgh and a Masters in Public Health from Boston University. Dr. Mujuru has a B.Sc. in Occupational Hygiene from the University of the South Bank, London, England, and a Bachelor of Nursing Sciences from West Virginia University. She is a licensed Registered Nurse and a Board Certified Occupational Health Nurse Specialist. She is also certified in Occupational Hearing Conservation by the CAOHC and has certification in Spirometry from NIOSH.
Dr. Mujuru’s research interest is in environmental and occupational health that focuses on special populations that includes children and the elderly. She collaborates on research projects aimed at addressing health disparities that include respiratory disease disparity, unintentional injuries and fatalities through the application of epidemiological principles and techniques. Dr. Mujuru is also interested in international health research, education and training projects.
Dr. Mujuru teaches Introduction to Public Health Epidemiology and Advanced Epidemiology. She also participates in the yearly Spirometry Training as well as the Occupational Hearing Conservation course.
