Support Groups

New Support GroupFamily Support Program (in partnership with the WV Family Grief Center)

Description: For MBRCC patients and their children (ages three to 18)
When: Second and fourth Tuesday of each month, beginning April 24
Time: 6 pm to 7:30 pm

Breast Cancer

When: 1st Monday of the month
Time: 5:30 pm
Where: Betty Puskar Breast Care Center at WVU

Caregiver

Description: For any unpaid individual outside of the clinic setting who helps cancer patients cope with their disease.  A caregiver may include spouses, adult children, neighbors, or significant others.
When: 2nd Wednesday of each month, dinner provided to all participants

Where: Main conference room on ground floor of Cancer Center. Walk by the main elevators on the ground floor (on your left) the room is behind the living room.

The Survivors Club (Formerly H.O.P.E.)

Description: For all cancer patients, their families and friends
When: 2nd Wednesday of each month, dinner provided to all participants
Time: 6 -8 PM
Where: Main conference room on ground floor of Cancer Center. Walk by the main elevators on the ground floor (on your left) the room is behind the living room.

Look Good / Feel Better (in conjunction with American Cancer Society)

Description: For women who have or will undergo any kind of cancer treatment
When: 1st Monday of every other month
Time: From 6pm –8pm

Tobacco Cessation Services

Breathe and Be Tobacco Free. An intiative of the WVU Health Sciences Campus.

"Breathe & Be Tobacco Free Support Group"

This support group is intended for former smokers; its focus is relapse prevention. The group is free and open to the public. For more information, please contact Kathie Friend in the T2R2 office at 293-1699, or email her at kfriend@hsc.wvu.edu with the subject line ‘Tobacco Free Support Group.’ More information about cessation services.
