MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University Men’s Basketball Coach Bob Huggins is teaming up with the Wine Bar at Vintner Valley in Morgantown for ‘Wine and Dine with Coach Huggins’ to benefit research at the WVU Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center.

The Wine Bar will host two launch parties at 6 p.m. on Sept. 21 and Oct. 19 to celebrate the premiere of Coach Huggins’ No. 35 Cabernet Sauvignon.

A limited number of the specialty wine will be sold, and a portion of the proceeds from each purchase will support the Norma Mae Huggins Cancer Research Endowment at the Cancer Center. Huggins established the endowment in memory of his mother, who passed away in 2003 following a long battle with colon cancer. All earnings generated from his fund are used for clinical research specifically providing access to cancer clinical trials for all West Virginians.

Tickets for the launch parties are $200 each with $50 from each ticket sale going directly to the Huggins Endowment. For each ticket purchased, participants will receive a glass of wine, an original autographed bottle of Huggins No. 35 Cabernet Sauvignon, and a sampling of food, including artisan cheese, charcuterie, select tapas, salad, pasta, and assorted desserts. There will also be a cash bar.
