Plastic Surgery Medical Students and Residents Shine at the 61st Meeting of the Ohio Valley Society of Plastic Surgeons

WVU Surgery/ Plastic Surgery presence at the 61st Meeting of the Ohio Valley Society of Plastic Surgeons 6/1 to 6/3/2018.

Congratulations to our WV Plastic Surgery/ Surgery medical students and residents that represented the WVU Dept of Surgery admirably.

WVU participated with 3 podium presentations and 4 posters (Please see list below) at the 5 state regional conference that historically boasts the Pittsburgh and Cleveland programs as the heavy hitters in academic endeavors.

Moreover, WVU won First Place Clinical Paper presentation: "Associations Between Orofacial Clefting and Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome” that was presented by Cody Mullens under Dr A. Mason mentorship.

West Virginia has never been well represented and never won a paper in recent history (perhaps ever). The streak is broken with high caliber presentations by Medical Students Kylie Fuller, Cody Mullens and residents Katherine Carruthers, Jennifer Rokosz and Mihail Climov.

Dr. Cristiane Ueno will assume the presidency of the meeting in 4 years bringing the annual meeting to West Virginia.
