Friday is deadline for applications and sponsor forms for Employee Holiday Assistance Program

Employees and departments will have an opportunity to enrich families’ lives this holiday season through the WVU Medicine Employee Holiday Assistance Program.

The program, coordinated by Care Management, provides gifts for the children of employees, ages birth to 13.

WVU Medicine established the Employee Holiday Assistance Program more than 20 years ago. Last year, WVU Medicine employees helped 122 children from 69 families during the holidays.

To request help, employees should first read the eligibility requirements. Then, complete an application and wish list for each child and submit it to Care Management. Applications are reviewed for eligibility prior to matching the children with sponsors.

Applications are also available in the Care Management Office, beginning Monday, Oct. 2. They are due by Friday, Nov. 3.

Departments interested in sponsoring a child/children should fill out the sponsor letter or pick one up in Care Management. Sponsor forms are due Friday, Nov. 3. Mail them to WVU Medicine Care Management Department, PO Box 8237, or email Michele L. Kelly.
