Athletic director to talk with health faculty & students

Shane Lyons, director of athletics at West Virginia University, will be the guest for this month’s “Connect with Clay” Wednesday, Aug. 17, at noon in Room 1905 Health Sciences North on the Morgantown campus.

Lyons’ topic is “Athletics’ Role in the University.”

Clay Marsh, M.D., WVU vice president for health sciences, will lead an open forum with Lyons after his remarks. “It’s an opportunity to talk about athletics’ overall mission to the University and state and also  talk sports with our athletic director,” Dr. Marsh said. “I think it’s a great way to start the new school year.”

The presentation will be available on the WVU Charleston and Eastern campuses via a two-way video link that will allow participants there to join in the question-and-answer session.
