Become a registered or certified central service technician

If you are interested in becoming registered or certified as a Central Service Technician through Purdue University, please contact Lori Moss between Monday, April 4, and Wednesday, April 13. Please share your name, department, service date, e-mail address and daytime phone number.

Following the sign-up period, the Sterile Processing Department will purchase books for the two most senior union employees. This course is a self-study track, followed by a test, which requires completion within 12 months. There is an option for a six-month extension; however, the employee would need to pay the extension fee.

Applicants not employed in Sterile Processing who don't complete the course within 12 months and don't apply for an extension will be responsible for covering the cost of the course, books and materials, which totals $430. Payroll deduction will be used.
