Bowers joins WVU Hospitals’ legal team
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University Hospitals has welcomed attorney Dana M. Bowers to its Morgantown legal services staff.
“Dana’s work-ethic and first-hand litigation experience are welcome additions to the ever-increasing workload in our department,” Christine S. Vaglienti, J.D., WVU Hospitals associate litigation counsel, said. “We are delighted to have her.”
As assistant counsel, Bowers will focus her practice on the defense of medical malpractice, premises liability and employment matters. Bowers received her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida in 2002 and her Juris Doctorate from Chicago’s Kent College of Law in 2006.
Bowers previously practiced in Chicago, Ill., as an insurance defense attorney. In that role, she handled cases involving premises liability, legal malpractice, industrial accidents, construction negligence and automobile accidents. She was also an active volunteer with the Illinois Lawyer’s Assistance Program.
