Breast reconstruction surgery for breast cancer patients and survivors can improve a woman's self-image and quality of life, yet many women do not realize they have surgical options.

Breast Reconstruction Awareness Day, or BRA Day, helps promote knowledge among breast cancer patients, while also educating physicians.

You can show your support for #theBRAday at an upcoming BRA Day T-shirt event at the cafeteria at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital on Monday, Sept. 25, from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Your donation of $15 helps further WVU Medicine Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the WVU Cancer Institute breast reconstruction education and awareness efforts.
