Bravo! awards ceremony celebrates excellence

WVU Medicine celebrated its fifth annual Bravo! Awards Ceremony: Celebrating Excellence, May 26.

The awards given that evening celebrate the many extraordinary accomplishments of WVU Medicine employees in 2015. These individuals and teams helped to create a stronger and more successful organization, one focused on excellence.

Employees were recognized in the following categories:

• Bravo! winners who were selected by their peers
• Top Performance Improvement teams
• Highest performing units/clinics, based on Press-Ganey scores
• Top providers, based on Press-Ganey and CG-CAHPS/HCAHPS scores

One special award was also presented at the end of the night -- the Presidential Leadership Award.

WVU Medicine-WVU Hospitals President and CEO Albert L. Wright, Jr., was the emcee, and awards were presented by Chief Medicial Officer Judie Charlton, M.D., and Chief Operating Officer Ronald Pellegrino, M.D. They shared the stories associated with the nominations as they handed out the awards.
