Burt is new assistant vice president for ancillary and support services

Nathan Burt, an established healthcare leader with a background in operations and finance, has been named assistant vice president for ancillary and support services for WVU Medicine-WVU Hospitals. He began his new role Feb. 14

In his new position, Burt has administrative responsibility for Nutrition Services, Central Transport, Clinical Laboratory, Supply Chain Operations, Guest Services, and United Linen Services.

Burt joins WVU Medicine from UPMC Presbyterian/Shadyside, where he was regional director of clinical operations.

He earned a Master of Health Administration degree from Ohio State University and a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Utah.

“We are thrilled to have Nathan on board to lead a number of services that may go unnoticed by the public at large but are crucial to our patients, their families, and our enterprise,” Steve Tancin, vice president of hospital operations, said.
