Drugs to help you to quit smoking may be safe for your heart after all. According to a recent study, nicotine replacement gums or patches prescribed to help people quit smoking may not pose serious heart risks in users.

But does that mean more of you are willing to put down that cigarette?

In recent years, there have been concerns that some of the products out there to get you to stop smoking may have serious risks to your heart.

The study found that overall, kicking the habit is connected with improved heart health, increased life expectancy, and reduced healthcare costs for smoking-associated conditions.

Smoking is the leading cause of preventable death world-wide.
