Active for Life, a program of low-impact exercises for people age 55 and older, will begin its 23rd annual session on Wednesday, Sept. 7, at Suncrest United Methodist Church. Any older adult in the community may participate in the free program, which was developed by the WVU Extension Service.
Classes are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. The exercises focus on strengthening muscles and preventing falls. Participants often experience increases in flexibility, bone density and aerobic capacity.
